I Go and I Will Come Again
1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:1-3
Because of Who I Am, I Am the Only Way to the Father
4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:4-7
I Will Give You the Holy Spirit
15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:15-17
Obedience Communicates Love to Me
Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” John 14:21
How to Own All of This:
1. Manage troubles through hope
2. Look at everyone through these 3 convictions: Sin, Judgement, Savior
3. Love Jesus
Way: Fight troubles with heavenly hope.
Truth: Proclaim your convictions on sin, judgement, and reconciliation.
Life: Through the power of the Holy spirit show your love for Jesus by your obedience regardless of the cost.
